THE ROLE

GFG is seeking a Strategy Analyst on a 12-month contract to support the Investor Relations and Strategy functions through an AI transition. This role will be based in our London office. You’ll report directly to the Head of Strategy & Corporate Development and Head Investor Relations & Communications. You’ll also work closely with the Executive Team (CEO, CFO, etc.) and senior leadership across the global business. Alongside day-to-day support on the core functions, you’ll lead the design and build of automated workflows for the team’s most critical recurring processes, reducing manual effort, improving accuracy and freeing the team for higher-value work.

In this role, you’ll gain a diverse and engaging experience in supporting the Company's strategic decision-making and investor relations activities. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the day-to-day operations and strategic narrative of a publicly traded business with global reach. In this role, no day will be the same and you’ll be joining the business at a pivotal time that encourages a challenging and rewarding career experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy:

  • Drive and support strategic initiatives across corporate and business development
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, assess competitor dynamics and inform strategic direction
  • Develop high-quality presentations, memos and analysis to communicate findings to key stakeholders across the business

Investor Relations:

  • Assist with tracking sell-side analyst models, analysing competitors and providing financial support for external messaging
  • Support management of day-to-day investor relations activities including ensuring regulatory compliance for investor communications, fostering relationships with analysts and preparing external materials (e.g., earnings call presentations, press releases, Capital Markets Day, etc.)
  • Support broader communications efforts

AI & Process Automation:

  • Map and prioritise the team’s recurring, high-stakes processes and identify what can be automated or AI-assisted
  • Build and maintain automated, well-documented Excel and Google Suite workflows, using GenAI tools where they add value
  • Embed appropriate controls: version control, audit trails, review checkpoints and human sign-off, given the regulatory sensitivity of external communications

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Ideal candidate will have prior work experience covering investor relations, strategy or finance related responsibilities gained within investment banking, consulting, corporate development, finance or professional services
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills are essential. Experience with Google Suite tools is a plus (and / or a willing mindset ready to learn)
  • Experience using GenAI tools is a plus, coupled with a genuine excitement to learn and apply them in new ways
  • Experienced in using financial data for strategic analysis and has strong data analytics skills
  • Ability to translate complex information and messages into clear, concise and visually compelling reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt effectively to different audiences at all levels - internally and externally
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle ambiguity and manage changing situations
  • A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Results oriented with a growth mindset and embraces continuous learning
  • Experience in retail / ecommerce is not essential, but a knowledge and appreciation of the industry is ideal

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • The unique opportunity to have a serious impact on a well-established player in the fashion ecommerce industry across Australia New Zealand, Latin America and Southeast Asia
  • Valuable experience as the business navigates a dynamic and evolving market landscape
  • Exposure to C-suite and senior leadership from day one
  • Work closely with a diverse and talented global team with business operations in 9 countries
