THE TEAM

At GFG, Technology is core to long-term success and is a crucial enabler of a great Customer Experience. We are a mix of experts in fashion, logistics, data analytics, marketing, and design, guided by business consultants and tech geniuses – everyone contributes to the success of GFG.

Our Engineering Department plans, builds and maintains the technology that drives high traffic ecommerce platforms. Our ability to deliver fast, safe and scalable solutions is critical in delivering first-class experiences to our customers. Our teams are organised by business domain and take ownership of everything they do in a you built it, you own it, model.

As part of the mobile team, you will be responsible for creating, designing, implementing and maintaining state-of-the-art solutions that allows us to deliver the best experience to our customers. You'll be part of our growing Tech team and with your experience, we will continue building a world class mobile app for THE ICONIC www.theiconic.com.au .

SCOPE OF ROLE

• Work on software projects to develop our cutting-edge e-commerce platform
• Work in an agile environment to develop a best-in-market experience for THE ICONIC app
• Build new mobile features from concept through to implementation
• Write and maintain clean and well-tested code
• Ensure our customers have the best experience by using testing, continuous integration, and in-depth code reviews
• Team up with designers, testers, and product managers to find the best solutions for our customers

WHAT IT TAKES

• Fluent English (written and verbal) — you'll collaborate across timezones
• 2+ years experience working in Android projects
• Experience with Android Studio and Android SDK
• Proven experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and modern app architectures.
• Experienced with AI Coding tools and workflows in daily tasks.
• Good understanding of security best-practices and principles
• Good understanding of REST APIs
• Good understanding of A/B testing, feature flags and app release strategies.
• Tenacity to make products better, faster and more intuitive
• A keen eye for detail, beautiful design, and seamless user experiences
