Our vision is to be the #1 fashion & lifestyle destination in LATAM, SEA and ANZ, and we are committed to doing this responsibly by being people and planet positive across everything we do.

SCOPE OF ROLE

The Risk and Insurance Specialist will provide operational, analytical and administrative support across GFG’s Enterprise Risk Management framework and global insurance programmes.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role within the Group shared functions, supporting the business in understanding and reporting key risks, while helping to ensure that GFG maintains fit-for-purpose insurance coverage across its global operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Enterprise Risk Management and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) activity by maintaining Group and regional risk registers, supporting quarterly risk assessment cycles, checking risk ratings, owners, mitigations and action plans, and helping regional teams apply the global ERM framework consistently.
  • Support the coordination of GRC meetings and risk reporting by preparing agendas, slide decks, pre-read materials, dashboards and recurring reporting packs, while tracking follow-up actions, sending reminders, escalating overdue items and maintaining a clear audit trail.
  • Support emerging risk monitoring through ad hoc information gathering, desktop research and structured summaries on risks that may affect the Group or regional businesses.
  • Support the Group insurance programme by coordinating annual and ad hoc renewals across key insurance lines, including PDBI, Cargo and Liability, and working with regional teams, Finance, brokers and other stakeholders to collect, validate and consolidate underwriting information.
  • Maintain insurance records and claims administration by managing policy documents, schedules, endorsements, certificates, renewal timelines, claims logs, claim status updates and evidence required for claims handling.
  • Prepare insurance and risk updates for management covering renewal progress, claims movements, premium or exposure data, open actions, key deadlines and other relevant reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to analytics, controls and process improvement by maintaining dashboards and trackers, supporting basic trend analysis and variance checks, organising audit evidence, coordinating project milestones and identifying ways to improve accuracy, standardisation and efficiency.

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Previous experience in either risk, insurance, audit, compliance, finance, governance, operations or analytical support, ideally within a regional or global organisation.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, with an understanding of risk management, control frameworks, management reporting and corporate insurance.
  • Confident working with data, identifying inconsistencies, summarising trends and preparing clear reporting materials, including charts, action updates and management summaries.
  • Strong user of Generative AI tools (E.G. Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT) and Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, with experience using tools such as Apps Script, Power Query-style functionality, Data Validation.
  • Strong written and verbal English, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, deadline-driven and proactive, with the ability to work independently across time zones, cultures and regional business models.
  • Experience in ecommerce, retail, logistics, fashion, consumer goods or technology-enabled businesses would be helpful but is not essential.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU

  • The opportunity to contribute to and improve the global risk and insurance function supporting ecommerce platforms across ANZ, LATAM and SEA.
  • Exposure to a practical ERM framework and a broad corporate insurance programme.
  • The chance to work closely with regional risk teams, senior stakeholders, Finance, Legal and external brokers.
  • A role with meaningful ownership of process quality, data integrity and management reporting
